The historic union that united England and Scotland under a single monarchy in 1603 is a testament to the enduring bond between our nations. However, it is the political union that occurred in 1706/7 that is the issue at hand.

Sadly, this political union now poses a threat to the sovereignty of both nations. The regionalisation of England, which runs contrary to our shared history and culture, threatens to fracture the nation while Scotland remains intact as a sovereign nation and a region of the EU.

It is important to note that this concept of regionalization originated from the European Union’s Treaty of Rome and Maastricht Treaty, which has raised concerns of treason. Our English Constitution has supremacy clauses that must be upheld to ensure the protection of our national sovereignty and identity, supported by international human rights laws – self determination.

We must work together to address these challenges and uphold the principles of our constitution. By doing so, we can preserve our shared history and ensure a bright future for both England and Scotland.  Never forget the common wealth is separate to the British union and voluntary. It contains both constitutional monarchies and republics.

The British now run the risk in Scotland of losing both the political union and the monarchical union and the same in England. Why?  because of political arrogance.
